Staying at home and getting creative thanks to the Hive

Families and children in Ladywood have been treated to fantastic craft activity kits generously created and donated by the Hive.

Ninety donated craft kits containing a selection of craft materials including coloured tissue paper, wool, patterned paper, an assortment of card, colouring pencils, craft lolly sticks, pipe cleaners, PVA glue, craft feathers, safety scissors also activity sheets and templates were especially created for Ladywood families to help keep children active and creative during the lockdown.

Crafts and treats

The packs together with over 100 easter eggs donated by Morrisons and treats from the Ladwood Leisure Centre have been delivered to children across the Ladywood community by our great team of Ladywood Helpers volunteers.

We received messages of thanks from parents saying how thrilled their children were to receive the packs: "Dear Ladywood Helpers and the Hive thank you kindly for the craft pack. My six year old was really happy, we really appreciate the support", another said "thank you so much, we are truly grateful. The kids are thrilled".

Keep Well. Keep Creating

The Hive based in the Jewellery Quarter is currently closed due to the coronavirus crisis, however the Hive team wanted to do something to support local families during the lockdown. The free craft kits containing a selection of materials and activties were donated for families to enjoy together and help keep them creative during the lockdown.
